We are thrilled to introduce the Marcella Foundation Volunteer Network in South Lake Tahoe, and we invite you to be a part of this exciting new opportunity to give back to our community. At the Marcella Foundation, we believe that volunteers like you play a pivotal role in creating positive change and strengthening our local community. Whether you're passionate about mentoring, supporting literacy, packing food bags, or lending your tech skills, there's a place for you in our volunteer network.
What is the Marcella Foundation Volunteer Network?
Our volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization. Our vision is to create a network of individuals who are dedicated to making a difference in South Lake Tahoe and the lives of those who call this beautiful place home. By signing up to become a Marcella Foundation volunteer, you're choosing to be a part of a community committed to positive change.
How does it work?
Joining our volunteer network is easy and flexible. When you sign up, you'll receive periodic emails with volunteer opportunities as they arise. These may be volunteer opportunities with the Marcella Foundation or some of our partner organizations. You can choose to participate in events and activities that align with your interests and availability. There's absolutely no pressure - it's all about finding the right fit for you.
What type of projects can I volunteer for?
We have a range of exciting projects that you can be a part of immediately. Check out our current projects, including:
BookMode: Help us prep and distribute kindles to 2nd graders at Sierra House Elementary school in November
Momentum Mentors: Help teens develop and set Momentum Goals after Momentum documentary screenings
Website/Tech: Several of our partner organizations need specific help around websites and engineering. If you are skilled in that area and want to work with Sean to donate you tech skills for a good cause, please reach out.
We are also constantly aware of other volunteer needs in our community, and we're eager to connect you with opportunities that match your passions.
What will I be doing?
Your volunteer experience will be tailored to your skills and interests. You can participate in single events or choose to volunteer with us on a regular basis. Our goal is to connect your experience and passion to community needs, ensuring that your volunteer efforts are both meaningful and fulfilling.
