Introducing the Marcella Foundation Volunteer Network
At the Marcella Foundation, we believe that volunteers like you play a pivotal role in creating positive change and strengthening our local community. Whether you're passionate about fighting food insecurity, promoting youth literacy, or strengthening community support, there's a place for you in our volunteer network.
How does it work?
Joining our volunteer network is easy and flexible. When you sign up, you'll receive periodic emails with volunteer opportunities as they arise. You can choose to participate in events and activities that align with your interests and availability. There's absolutely no pressure - it's all about finding the right fit for you.
We’re looking for volunteers & businesses!
We have immediate needs in the following areas:
FeedTahoe: Become a Food Rescue Hero - help transport surplus food from local restaurants and markets to nonprofits in need.
ReadingPals: Volunteer to do 1:1 reading with students at Tahoe Valley Elementary School (once a week during the school year)
BookMode: Volunteer to distribute Kindles to 2nd graders at Sierra House Elementary School and guide them through their first steps using them (once a year event)
